| Ask for Murni's when you arrive in Bali and your driver will know right
where to take you. The only thing he might ask is whether you want a place
to stay or eat or shop -- or if you just want to meet Bali's most gracious
living legend. There is a Murni and every
day she's in Ubud making new guests and old friends feel welcome. |

Just above Ubud are Murni's Houses. These four guest
houses are built in a traditional Balinese compound
and you will enjoy peaceful seclusion that's just a three-minute walk
to Ubud's main street.
Ten years ago, a New York Times travel
writer called them one of the world's ten best small hotels. Since then,
they've just gotten better.

In 1974, Murni opened Ubud's first restaurant and
since then thousands of people have enjoyed her food and hospitality.
Today, Murni's Warung has four
open-air levels that step down the steep hillside overlooking the
river and it is still one of Ubud's most popular restaurants.

Murni collects things and when she looks around
her home and finds too many things, she puts them in her shop -- Murni's
Warung Shop.
Whether you're looking for antiques,
collectibles or a special Balinese gift, you'll always find something
you love in Murni's collection.
