The head band could also be worn over the shoulder.

 

Borneo is criss-crossed by river trade roues and beads are found in every part of the island. The colours are usually yellow, red, white and black.

 

Everything is decorated with beads – hats, headbands, collars, jackets, skirts, loin cloths, armbands, necklaces, ear dangles, bags, belts, and even mobile phone covers. Baby carriers, baskets, sword hilts, walking stick sheaths and mats are also covered in them.
