Bukhara  is a city in Uzbekistan located on the Silk Road. People have lived in the area around Bukhara for at least 5,000 years and the city has existed for 2,500 years. Bukhara has long served as a centre of trade, scholarship, culture and religion.

This would be a traditional robe of honour, a loose coat of padded cotton,  called a chapan for an Uzbek ruler to present to a guest or courtier.
