In April 2022 Forbes Magazine looked at and published a list of the best cities around the world for solo travellers.
They applied 12 metrics, including the number of hostels, local crime rates and average cost of a meal.
Ubud came out as Number 6 in the world.
This was followed by Travel + Leisure’s research in July 2022 that Ubud was the 1st best city in Asia.
