These simple, yet elegant, Balinese trays are woven from Ata, which is a fern, which grows on tall trees in the humid forests of middle Bali, usually near water. Its roots are used for the dark geometric designs. The trays are smoked over a honey and coconut fire, which gives them their rich caramel color. They are very strong and will give years of use.
